Ippolito 1845
``The purest and most thoughtful minds are those which love color the most.`` John Ruskin
Established in Cirò Marina in 1845, Ippolito 1845 holds the distinction of being Calabria's oldest winery. This family-run estate has been passionately crafting wines for five generations, deeply rooted in the Cirò DOC region. Their focus lies in showcasing the unique character of native Calabrian grape varieties, primarily Gaglioppo and Greco Bianco.
With 100 hectares of vineyards, Ippolito 1845 is committed to quality and sustainable practices. Their annual production of around 120,000 bottles encompasses a diverse portfolio of 14 labels. Standout wines include their expressions of Cirò Rosso, such as the acclaimed "Colli del Mancuso," the refreshing Cirò Bianco "Mare Chiaro," and the elegant Cirò Rosato "Mabilia." They also produce wines highlighting other indigenous grapes like Pecorello and Calabrese, alongside special selections like their passito "Gemma del Sole." Ippolito 1845 is celebrated for its dedication to preserving and promoting the authentic flavors of Calabria.
